I really thought I would have moved on to a second vehicle but I got hooked on motorcycles and the G is too good (and now just way too cheap) to let go. I’m keeping it til it won’t drive no more.

I keep telling people those will be/are the best performance bargain out there now and in the near future. RWD available manual and 250+ horsepower. They are not worth a ton (as i’m sure you’re aware.) But its a damn good chassis with a damn good engine attached to it.

RWD for hoonage, and AWD on the X sedans (mine) for getting through snow and the like. All for the price of a gaming computer. Makes me a bit sad tbh.

I used to drive an 06 and still think it’s the one of the best cars around. In 2006, it came standard with Bluetooth, keyless entry and start, HID headlamps, and 280 HP. The only modern feature I really wish mine had was Bluetooth audio.

It was such a fun car to drive, yet still comfortable for the few 6+ hour drives I took it on. The only downside I really found was the fuel mileage isn’t great. I averaged about 21mpg for the time I drove it.

Agree with everything. When I went to a Subaru dealer last year to just check things out I was astonished to find that keyless entry was only available on the top trim for the STi. It was a high price to pay for such a small luxury. One other downside is the 5-speed auto. For long highway cruises it really needs another gear to bring the RPMs down.

Pardon my cliche, but you hit the nail on the head. One more gear would make this car just about perfect in my eyes. It drives on the highway like overdrive is off. On the bright side, passing was effortless. I currently drive a vehicle with a 9 speed which has plenty of passing power, but takes way too long to actually down shift so I can use the power.
